About
Alberto is a research associate at the Institute for Community Inclusion, University of Massachusetts Boston since 2006. He carries out research about policies and practices to promote the employment of job seekers with intellectual disabilities, autism, and other developmental disabilities. Specifically, he focuses on supporting employment consultants to implement evidence based practices in assisting job seekers with disabilities finding quality employment. Alberto’s expertise includes descriptive, correlation, and experimental research designs, including secondary data analysis of large datasets. In Italy, where he grew up, he co-founded a social cooperative where he worked for about ten years involving individuals with intellectual disabilities in community work activities. He gained a Bachelor degree in Political Science from Universita’ degli Study di Torino (Italy), a Masters degree in Disability Management from University College Dublin (Ireland), and a Doctoral degree in Special Education from Indiana University (USA).
