    Dr. Joyce K. Edmonds is an academic and healthcare professional with expertise in maternal and child health, public health, and healthcare disparities. She received an MPH from Oregon Health Sciences University and a PhD from Emory University. She has extensive academic experience at institutions like Boston College and Ariadne Labs, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Institute for Midwifery and Reproductive Health at ZHAW in Switzerland.

    Currently, she is Professor and Department Chair at University of Massachusetts Boston, Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She also serves as Editor-in-Chief of JOGNN a leading journal in nursing and is a Senior Research Scientist at Ariadne at Harvard School of Public Health. Her research focuses on advancing quality care in maternal health, particularly on reducing cesarean birth rates, improving maternal health outcomes, and reducing healthcare access disparities.
