Abstract
Hypertension (HTN) is an insidious disease with increasing mortality rates in the United States. While yoga and slow, deep breathing could serve as alternative approaches, their usefulness in the treatment of HTN is not well established. The current study investigating the effects of these interventions on ambulatory blood pressure in adults with HTN showed evidence of a protective effect.
