Abstract
The recombination rate for three identical bosons was investigated to test the limits on its universality behavior. The recombination rate was observed for different collision energies and scattering lengths (a) up to 10 5 a.u., which provide rates varying over 15 orders of magnitude. Recombination for a>0 was found to be large, since it takes place at large distances where differences in two-body potential will have little effect. For a<0, recombination was found to be a small distance process. The results show that analytically predicted infinite series of resonance peaks and interference minima is trucated to no more than three.
