Abstract
Queer theory is a field of study that critically examines sex, gender, sexuality, and sexual desire from a dissident and “gay affirmative” perspective. Its primary aims are the denaturalization of (hetero)sexuality and (hetero)normative gender categories, identities, and expressions.
